I have been waiting for today to come for over a month now. I am beaming with excitement. For the last 2 weeks if anyone made the slightest mention of this appt I would tear up due to the overwhelming excitement and anxiety. Gary and I left about 15 minutes earlier than we needed to because of CFRM being in Minneapolis; well I am very happy we did because we were still almost 10 minutes late arriving. After a brief phone call to my mom for directions (construction had 2 of our streets that Google had on our map closed) we finally arrived 10 minutes late. Gary hates Minneapolis so I had to listen to a bunch of moaning and groaning during the 30 drive threw downtown.
Once we finally arrived I felt a sigh of relief. I was just happy to be there and happy the time had finally come. For the first time in my life the doctor (not a nurse) actually came out to the waiting room and greeted Gary and myself and brought us back to his office where we sat in Leather Chairs and were sounded by cherry wood furniture, it was beautiful. Gary and I immediately felt so comfortable with Dr. Kuneck. The Dr went over my previous test results and he suggested that we try a cycle with Chlomid and Ovidrel. His biggest challenge right now is trying to make me ovulate. Dr. Kuneck asked Gary and I when we wanted to start this process and we told him we are as ready now as we’ll ever be and he said alright, let’s get a blood draw and see if you have ovulated yet this month and see if you’re pregnant and let’s get started! That was what I have been waiting to hear for years!! Gary and I looked at each other and we had the biggest smiles.
The whole appointment including blood work took about an hour. The nurse said she would call back tomorrow with the results. Gary and I left, and of course I got to listen to Gary moaning and groaning about Minneapolis and the traffic for the next 30 minutes. Argh!
