8/8 – I received a call from the nurse this morning and my blood work came back that I am not pregnant and my estradiol level is low so the follicle will die off so I get to start my treatment plan!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to start by taking 50 mg of Chlomid by mouth for the next 5 days before bed then I have to go back to the doctors on the 15th and get and ultrasound and blood work. If everything looks good then they will give me Ovidrel which is a shot that will make me ovulate.

8/7 – I got my period last night and although it’s only a light flow the doctor’s office wants me to come in today for a baseline ultrasound. The only time they have available is 1:30, and it’s my week to work 9-5:30 at work so I’m going to have to take a long lunch. I am sooooo excited. I’m not too thrilled about driving through Minneapolis alone, but it beats getting a headache listening to Gary complaining. I am off to my appt in about 20 minutes. I sent out a mass email letting everyone know what’s going on and everyone has replied back with “good Luck” or “I’ll be praying for you!” leave it to my sister to reply back with “That’s so gross Amy”. She’s so weird.
So I just got back from my Ultrasound appt. the results of the ultrasound were that I have a large follicle on my right ovary and my lining was at 7mm. They did some blood work to see what my estradiol levels are to see if the follicle is still active, If it is, we are going to have to wait till next month to try again L they also did some blood work to see if I am pregnant due to the lining being so thick; they don’t think I am because I obviously have my period but normally the lining is at 2-3mm. they also requested $1,500 at my next appointment to cover costs for the next few visits as my insurance doesn’t cover anything. That was a shocker! I thought we were going to be able to pay as we go, but oh well it’s all going to have to be paid in the long run anyways.
So if my blood work comes back with my estradiol levels low that means the follicle is not active and will die off and if the pregnancy test comes back negative I get to move forward with the treatment plan.

This morning sucked. I have been participating in a Biggest Loser contest at work and today was my final weigh-in. I gained 3 pounds in the last three weeks L Bummer! I started out at 212.6 on May, 11, 2009 and I am now 191. I am very proud of myself. All together I lost 21.6 pounds lost and a total weight loss percentage of 10.15%. I can’t believe I lost that much in 2 ½ months. I started the competition out really strong, I was working out and eating much healthier. I worked out every day to Jillian Michael’s 30 day shred and I worked out by walking, hiking, rollerblading, or biking every other day with my sister, mom, or Gary. During the last three weeks of the competition I got really lazy and did not work out at all and I started to resort back to my old eating habits, where I would eat when I was bored and eat anything out of convenience. So with no working out and eating not so healthy foods I gained 3 pounds

Throughout the day today, I have had really bad cramping. I usually don’t get cramps or have any pain during or before my menstrual cycle so this isn’t so much fun. I read up on the Medroprogestrone and this is a very common side effect, ouch!

Today is Tuesday July 28th. A nurse from CFRM just called and told me the results from my blood test. Of course the result of the Pregnancy test was negative, and I hadn’t ovulated yet this month so the nurse prescribed me Medroprogesterone to help jump start my period. I immediately went to Walgreens and had the prescription filled and it costed a whopping $4.10! I anticipated this medication costing $60 so that was a big relief. Now I just have to take this medication for 10 days and once I get my period I have to wait until day 3 and then call CFRM and schedule an appt for an ultrasound and see what’s next.
